Anyway, I'm going to shamelessly advertise on this post for my nonexistent readers. I declared April to be photo month at my school. May is technically National Photo Month, but school will be out by then and I wanted people to get involved. So, here's a link to what I've been up to:

I'm thinking about continuing past the end of the month. We'll see. Some days are more photogenic than others.
On a non-photo note: If you have any knowledge of the De Stijl art movement, then you've probably heard of Piet Mondrian. Well, I decided to do a Mondrianesque project myself.
I got red, yellow, blue and white clippings from magazines and made collages of each color. Next, I lightly painted over the collages with their respective colors so they would be somewhat uniform in color and cut out a couple of different sized rectangles. I placed these on a poster where I wanted, made different widthed (this is now a word) lines using a very fat permanent marker and cut out white rectanges to fill up the rest. Voila! A project that could be mistaken for Mondrian's own.
In unrelated news, I've been listening to a lot of Coldplay recently (like at this very second), but also The Mountain Goats. If you haven't heard of them before, go listen to "Earth Air Water Trees" and "Dance Music" right now.
